Makes about 600ml
Prep time | 5 minutes + steeping time
I am sick to death of this lingering, hideous flu bug that has struck so many people. So I’ve decided to get some good medicinal ginger tea into me…it feels like it’s healing you as you drink it.
Ingredients
• 5 cm piece ginger, unpeeled, sliced into 2 mm thick slices
• juice of half a lemon
• honey to taste
Method
1. Place the ginger into a warmed teapot and pour over 2 cups (500ml) boiling water.
2. Allow to steep for about 10 minutes, then add the lemon juice and honey to taste.
3. If not all used at once, it can be reheated.
